Calculate your vacation days, the extra days for seniority and their cash value under the Ecuadorian Labor Code.

What it calculates

The vacation days earned in a period, the extra days for seniority, the balance after the days you already took and their cash value for a final settlement.

What you need

  • Start date.
  • Start and end of the period.
  • Your average monthly pay.
  • Vacation days already taken.

How it is calculated

  • Days: 15 a year, including non-working days. From the sixth year with the same employer, one more day per additional year, up to 15 extra days (Labor Code, art. 69).
  • Value: one twenty-fourth of everything you earned in a year (art. 71).
  • Carry-over: up to three years, to be taken in the fourth (art. 75).
  • Untaken days: paid proportionally when you leave (art. 76).

2026 figures
